On February 7, 2003 I read that Martina Hingis announced her retirement...! I was shocked!
Anna stopped playing on the WTA Tour shortly afterwards in April 2003 :-(((((! I was deeply frustrated!
I've admired this Doubles Dreamteam since the Aussie Open 1999 - Anna won her first Grand Slam Doubles Trophy :-)))

Australian Open 1999 (January 31) - Anna and Martina played together for the first time - both won the Grand Slam Trophy :-))) This was Anna's first ever Grand Slam Title! 3 years later (January 25, 2002) they did it again Down Under - it was the "Spice Girls"'s last Grand Slam Trophy :-((
