Anna Kournikova, who attended the party in a short black dress, was the focus of all guest-views and the center of media interest. Not less than 7 TV-Teams came to the Players Night in order to get a statement of Anna. After a photocall with Barbara Schett and Thomas Muster, the russian starlet (who won a Mixed exhibition with Thomas Muster 9-6 vs Schett and Alexander Antonitsch before that) answered their questions about her sportive past and her private future.

"Of course, I want to have kids sooner or later, but I am just 26 years old an still have to learn a lot about life. Tennis ruled my life until now", said Kournikova, who obviously isn't planning to marry Enrique Iglesias.

"Signing a piece of paper doesn't change anything. And why should I change something that's working pretty well the way it is right now", Anna said and also told TV-Teams that
normal housework isn't scary for her:

"I started cooking in the last year and I like it very much. Mostly I cook russian meals. The recipes I got from my grandmother."

Short before midnight, Anna and Barbara Schett left the party - Anna was already leaving with a plane to Frankfurt at 6:00 a.m.! From there, Anna continued flying to Miami.

"I definitely enjoyed Graz very much. The organization of the tournament is perfect and the match with Thomas Muster was also a lot of fun. I will keep very good memories from my visit in Austria."

With this big praise, Anna said goodbye to the 2 tournament organizers Herwig Straka and Edwin Weindorfer.

Anna Kournikova, die in einem kurzen, schwarzen Kleid erschienen war, zog die Blicke der Gäste und das Interesse der Medien auf sich. Nicht weniger als sieben TV-Teams waren zur Players Night gekommen, um von Kournikova ein Statement zu erhaschen. Nach einem gemeinsamen Fototermin mit Barbara Schett und Thomas Muster gab das russische Starlet, das zuvor eine Mixed-Exhibition an der Seite von Muster gegen Schett und Alexander Antonitsch mit 9:6 gewonnen hatte, den TV-Stationen bereitwillig Auskunft über ihre sportliche Vergangenheit und ihre private Zukunft.

"Natürlich möchte ich früher oder später Kinder haben, aber ich bin erst 26 und muss noch viel über das Leben lernen. Bisher hat ja nur Tennis meinen Alltag bestimmt", sagte Kournikova, die eine Hochzeit mit ihrem Herzblatt Enrique Iglesias offenbar nicht eingeplant hat.

"Die Unterschrift auf einem Stück Papier ändert doch nichts. Außerdem, warum sollte ich etwas ändern, was auch so ganz gut funktioniert", meinte die Moskauerin, die erzählte, dass sie auch vor Hausarbeit nicht zurückschreckt:

"Ich habe im vergangenen Jahr mit dem Kochen begonnen, und es gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich mache vor allem russische Gerichte. Die Rezepte habe ich von meiner Großmutter bekommen."

Knapp vor Mitternacht verließ Anna Kournikova gemeinsam mit Barbara Schett die Party, schließlich hob sie am Freitag bereits um 6.00 Uhr morgens in Richtung Frankfurt ab, von dort ging es dann weiter nach Miami.

"Mir hat es hier in Graz hervorragend gefallen. Das Turnier ist perfekt organisiert, und auch das Match mit Thomas hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Ich werde diesen Besuch in Österreich in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten."

Mit diesem großen Lob verabschiedete sich Kournikova von den beiden Turnierdirektoren Herwig Straka und Edwin Weindorfer.
