About the venue:
"It's very peaceful. The surroundings are very tranquil."
About her performance oncourt:
"Both of my matches were pretty close, so I felt really good about that."
About the WTT format:
"It's a great way for me to be on the court again without being on the tour. It gives you the access the professional tour doesn't have with fan interaction."
"With team tennis, I can just play a few matches and start really preparing for it a short time before. It doesn't give me enough time to completely get hurt."
"There's a gazillion reasons for me playing (WTT). I really enjoy it and have fun with my team. ... I'm playing with one of my best friends, Elena Likhovtseva. I literally grew up with her. We had a blast on the road last year."
Comeback if back problems would disappear?:
"Definitely. I miss it."
"I look at it realistically. This is what I can do right now."
What does she miss the most?:
"Just in general. Once you have that feeling of being on the court and feel that adrenaline rush ... just that feeling. It's very irreplaceable. Once you feel it, it's hard to replace it. ... Nothing's like playing in front of 10,000 people, in an important game, an important point, always on the edge.... You miss it all the time. It's just there.''
Satisfied with the way her career and life have turned out so far?:
"Tennis has given me everything...and considering where I came from, I literally had nothing. I wouldn't have the life I have now, I wouldn't be the person I am. And I don't take anything for granted.''
