Anna about her World Team Tennis debut:
"It feels great to be back on court. I had so much fun out there, and the crowds were fantastic! I'm looking forward to playing in St. Louis tonight against the St. Louis Aces."

Anna about usual questions (looks, injuries, no Singles title,...):
"Hey, I'm sure you're looking. Everybody looks at something."

subject back to tennis:
"What do you expect me to do - have surgery to look different? I don't think I'm beautiful or whatever. I just think of me as a normal person. If some people have different thoughts, fine."

about tennis fascination:
"Being on the court hasn't changed," she said. "But it gets harder and harder to go on with the X-rays and doing rehab. Playing two or three weeks in a row is tough. It's hard to concentrate on the tournament when you're thinking that you might have to pull out."

at press conference (asks if she's aware that most guys would be looking at her...):
"Hey, I'm sure you're looking."

Moderator Rosie Crews tried to change the subject but...:
"Let 'em ask, I'll handle it."

Question by senator John London (when she was in Moscow the last time):
"Yeah, I haven't been there in a while."

after the matches:
"Even though we came up one point short, it was an exciting night of tennis because it was so close."
