new Journal: Texas and Rio
Anna published her latest Journal entry called "Tennis Event in Texas/Rio de
Janeiro Shoot for K-SWISS": Basically, she's telling us that she's
quot;getting
ready to leave at the end of the week" for the upcoming 2 trips:
a) The Beaumont exhibition where she'll be playing a celebrity mixed doubles
match. She'll also be "participating in a children's clinic" in the next
morning (Nov 3rd). Quote: "I always love being around kids, so I am really
looking forward to getting them excited about tennis and giving them a few
pointers!"
b) The K-Swiss Shoot in Rio de Janeiro: "Right after the children's clinic, I am jumping on a plane and heading to Brazil for a print and TV ad shoot for K-Swiss." There, she'll also do an appearance for K-SWISS - "I think it will be more like a cocktail party/reception..."!

PERSONAL COMMENT: Great to hear from Anna again - hopefully we'll be able to see some video footage from her trip to Rio. That would be really great.

(Nov 1st) cocktail party at Cartier in Bal Harbour Shops celebrating the
Museum of Contemporary Art and Cartier's participation in this year's Art
Basel Miami Beach.

EI argues with Anna?: According to a
recent report, Anna and Enrique have had a serious and controversial
argumentation in Bongo's Cuban Cafe in Miami Beach. Reportedly, both stepped
into the Cafe holding hands and left far away from each other.

has been interviewed once again - this time it was a phone Interview with
german magazin Freundin. I just translate the Anna-related questions & his
answers:
freundin.de: Speaking of romantic. How are things going with Anna?
EI: "Everything's fine, really fine. Unfortunately, when I'm travelling we
barely see each other."
freundin.de: So we don't have to worry? Despite all the split up-rumors?
EI: "No, no. Everything is absolutely alright. But I'm not quite sure if
she's really worried..." (laughs)

Journal entry,
"WTT Smash Hits with Elton John and Billie Jean King" (Oct
11), Anna describes how happy she is to be able to take part in this event
every year ("...cannot even tell you guys how fortunate I feel each year for
being asked to participate..."). This year she even bid $30.000 at the live
auction for one of
Elton John's
concerts in Las Vegas ("...I am so excited to be going to the concert
with my girlfriends...").
About Tennis, Anna said she had much fun talking with Lindsay Davenport "about
old times on the tour."
Interesting: She will be flying to Rio de Janeiro after the
Beaumont-exhibition (Nov 2nd) "for a photo shoot for a new ad campaign for
K-Swiss, both print and TV."
PERSONAL COMMENT: She didn't mention Chris Evert's Pro-Celebrity Tennis Clinic at Boca Raton (Nov 3/4) - isn't she going to take part in this event??? I am looking forward to see new pictures of Anna and her girlfriends in Las Vegas (obviously EI is too busy).

Anna was in Portland on Sep 18
Reportedly, Anna signed a bottle of Opus One wine sold for charity at the
Markowitz Wine Tasting And Auction at Portland, Oregon (September 18th).
Proceeds from her autographed and signed winning item was part of the total
$80,000 proceeds which benefitted the St. Andrews Legal Clinic. The clinic
benefits low-income families around the counties in the Portland area.

She looks very good although her awesome athletic figure from her Pro-days
seems to be gone forever.

The "dynamic" AKFS future
Well, during
the past few weeks I finally learned how to work with PHP and MySQL
databases. Of course, I want to use that knowledge to improve the AKFS.
So this is how the future will look like:
>> I am currently creating an intense TENNIS RESULTS-Database (Singles,
Women's and Mixed Doubles, Exhibtions/Charities): Head-to-Head-results
including queries for a certain year or just Victories/Defeats etc.
(time to launch: a few more weeks)
>> NEWS Database: I already tested to store the current news in
3 separate Database-tables and it works fine. I still have to figure out how
to arrange with the News archive where you can see just one month.
(time to launch: approx. 1,2 months)
>> OWN GUESTBOOK: The current AKFS Guestbook is bullshit. That's it. I
am planning on creating a small little one with my own programming skills.
Most important: I intend to install it at the Main page.
