Well, it's absolutely obvious that Anna LOVES the way she looks right now...! She describes her god-given body as "long, lean and lanky" - Pro Tennis changed her body completely and within the last 3 months ("in honor of the anniversary" [column-writing for ELLE] - what kind of "reason" is that???) she's "been exercising like crazy with" her "Miami-based trainer, Jennifer Klein." Why all this?

PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, it still makes me sad that she obviously never really liked her athletic figure when she was playing Pro Tennis. I LOVED her figure back then. But now she became so small, so thin! Of course, it's her choice and if she likes it - fine. But it's ovbvious that she won't return to the Pro Tour again - WHY DON'T YOU FINALLY MAKE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT, ANNA???? It's so annoying after such a long time.

Anna was in London (Westway Sports Center) on May 22nd! She teamed up with Tim Henman and Ariel for the Ariel Tennis Ace 'Final's Day' in London. 20 youngsters attended the day and could play with Anna and Tim Henman. Anna participated in the Mercedes-Benz Classic in Duluth (Georgia, USA)) - the event took place at the Gwinnett Center. Anna played a Mixed Doubles match - she teamed up with John McEnroe and both defeated Jana Novotna/Jim Courier. "xuan1210" (member of Official Messageboard) was so lucky to be there and he could see Anna LIVE for the first time - lucky guy.

Anna plays at the Mercedes-Benz Classic in Gwinnett tonight (7:30pm local)! She arrived in Atlanta on friday (May 5th) and visited an Adidas Y-3 store in suburban Buckhead in the Metro Atlanta, Georgia area. Anna talked with the family of former NBA player Aleksandr Volkov and she was also asked whether she's retired or not! Quote: "I understand that people want to know. Anna @ BGCA ceremony: Anna attended the Boys & Girls Clubs of America ceremony in the Hynes Convention Center in Boston (home of the first Boys & Girls Club) on May 4th! BUT: She wasn't officially inducted to the BGCA national Hall of Fame (not yet). Quotes from Anna: "I only want to do things that I'm passionate about. Making money doesn't hurt, but it's not important to me. I did go to sports club in Russia and it's the same thing . It's wonderful to be a part of this."

It was the tournament where Anna reached her first WTA Singles Final and she beat 3 Top 10 players in a row on her way to the Final (Seles, Davenport, Sanchez-Vicario).

PERSONAL COMMENT: So long ago but I still remember how happy I was back then about Anna's success. Unfortunately she lost in the final vs Venus Williams but it was probably one of Anna's best performances in Singles ever within a tournament.

weight loss - possible reasons: The german magazine "Bunte" published an interesting online article with possible reasons why Anna has lost so much weight in the last months:
According to the "Daily Mail", Anna doesn't really know what to do in Miami with all her spare time (no more regular tennis schedule, no other regular job...) and she's feeling lonely. Most of all, she obviously misses her mother Alla - reportedly, both haven't spoken with each other for 2 years (since her parents took her to court in April 2004, disput settled in March 2005 - Anna, Alla and Sergei remained listed as property-owners of Miami-mansion)!
According to the "Daily Mail", a normal day of Anna (since she left the Pro Tour) starts with a fitness studio visit in South Beach where Anna obviously practises like a robot for 2 or 3 hours (running many miles)! Afterwards she sometimes meets friends and hangs out in expensive restaurants on Ocean Drive - but she obviously eats not much or nothing.
Plus: Enrique is working on a new album (he hasn't had a big hit since years!!!) and well, both don't appear in the public as often as in the past.

PERSONAL COMMENT: This article is really good and it might be true in some points. I also think that Anna should finally make a decision:
a) Comeback to the Pro Tour or
b) another satisfying and fulfulling job
I am no expert but the having read many many posts at the Official Messageboard I can only agree with all of you guys - it seems that an eating disorder is right around the corner for Anna!!!
