bid for Anna's shoes
Anna has donated a pair of training shoes to MAG's "Give Landmines The Boot" charity auction on ebay. The Adidas Tennis shoes (size 7.5 (US: 10)) have been personally signed by Anna (don't know if Anna ever wore them) and they are in excellent condition. All proceeds will help MAG clear landmines across the world.

Anna again at Nasdaq-100 Open
Anna watched another match at the Nasdaq-100 Open - she sat in the stands at the Myskina vs Sharapova-match! Brad Gilbert wanted to interview her but Anna didn't want to be interviewed on television. But Anna told him that she's supporting a friend (Myskina).
If you get Eurosport you probably can see Anna a few times when Eurosport shows this match this afternoon from 3:50pm to 5:30pm CET (15:50-17:30 MESZ).

In her latest Journal entry ("Mercedes-Benz Classic"), Anna talks about her recent appearance in "The Today Show - Saturday Edition" (NBC) where she showed her KRAV MAGA-skills - she even hopes to "back on the show again soon." Furthermore, Anna talks about her upcoming Tennis event, the 3rd annual Mercedes-Benz Tennis Classic (Tampa on April 5th) where she'll play mixed doubles with Jim Courier, John McEnroe and Chris Evert. Woman in the World" by FHM readers. Anna isn't among
the Top 10 - what's her ranking this year??? Maria

Anna at Nasdaq-100 Open
Anna attended the Nasdaq-100 Open WTA Tournament - she watched Myskina's match vs Azarenko (Myskina won 6-3, 7-5) and even walked back to the locker room with Anastasia. Obviously Anna wore a beige sweater and sunglasses and guards were surrounding both of them.

PERSONAL COMMENT: It's so great to hear that Anna finally watched a WTA match again. Okay, this tournament takes place where she lives but anyway - I hope that's a good sign. Maybe she watches more matches at this prestigious tournament...! For sure, Anna and Anastasia talked with each other about the tournament at the "Stars for Stars"-Awards Gala 6 days ago and probably Anna said that she'll be there to watch.

Martina Hingis was interviewed in Miami (March 22nd) where she currently plays at the Nasdaq-100 Open and when asked about possible Comebacks she said: "Well, I played in Rio with Anna, the exhibition. PERSONAL COMMENT: All I can say is that hopefully we don't have to wait much more time to finally hear from Anna whether she conducts a comeback or not. Soon she's 25 and well, she cannot wait until she's 30 to decide.

In her latest Journal entry ("Legends of Tennis Results") Anna tells us that the Mixed Doubles match ended in a tie. She played teamed up with Kathy Rinaldi and faced Tim Mayotte and Andres Gomez. She also tells us that she's off to New York on March 24th. Why?? She'll be shooting a segment for The Today Show - Saturday Morning Edition (to be aired on NBC, March 25th, 8:30am ET)! Anna will do the shoot together with Moti from Moti Horenstein's Karate & Kickboxing Academy on Krav Maga and the segment will be based on the article Anna wrote for her fitness column for the April issue of ELLE Magazine. prior to the "Legends of Tennis"-event in Reading (March
18th, 2006) and I fully agree with the Sports
columnist Mike McGovern who was so lucky to talk to
Anna - quote: "Her heart's in the right place." This
is what Anna said in the interview -
About children: "They're our future."
About tennis comeback: "I might come back. I'm only
24."
About her life in the public eye: "My problems, my
living in the public eye are nothing compared to
what's going on in some parts of the world..."
PERSONAL COMMENT: Anna has a great personality and I would love to know her personally. She's very smart and down-to-earth I think.

interviewed and Anna talked about her SUV Escalade,
that it's more than 4 years old right now and that
this car is the only one she drives. She also said
that as soon as the new Escalade comes out she is
going to buy it.

Anna talks about her latest public appearances in her latest Journal entry ("Hollywood Glamour"): She made a quick trip to LA where she participated in a General Motors event - therefore GM will make a donation for Anna's favorite charity, The Boys and Girls Club. She also shot 5 more fitness segments for Channel One and was a guest anchor for their news program. She also talks about her brief trip to the ITB tourism fair in Berlin and her upcoming tennis event in Reading, PA (12th annual American Red Cross "Legends of Tennis"-event on March 18th where Anna will be playing in the main Doubles exhibition). tourism fair in Berlin on March 9th, 2006. She
promoted the Pula Golf Mallorca Golf Classic 2006
and the Balearics. The Balearic government confirmed
that Anna, who has used Majorca as a tennis training
camp and also enjoyed holidays at the luxury Pula
complex in Cala Ratjada is the latest high profile
member of the Balearics' team of tourism ambassadors.
Anna will be present at the Mallorca Classic 2006
PGA golf tournament (October 19 to 22). Quote: "October
