Anna beats Garbin - QF vs Husarova / Anna-Comment / IW-Preview
Anna seems to be getting in better and better shape - 6:1,6:2 vs Garbin in the 2nd Round of Acapulco. GREAT! She didn't lost her Serve once and outplayed Garbin out of all angles. More Infos! Discuss Annas 2nd Round-Triumph and hope that Husarova, who beat Sanchez-Vicario in 3 sets, won't be such a tough task for Anna in the Quarterfinaly. Both have extremely similar results in 2002 (3rd Quarters) and both haven't played on the WTA Tour yet! LOTS of Pictures from the 2nd Round-Match:

Hopefully Anna can dominate Husarova as good as Garbin but this match might become a closer one. Anyway, Anna has a great chance to advance to the semifinal.

Anna-Comment: Unfortunately I didn't find the current post-match Interview yet but here is what Anna said when someone said that SHE reportedly didn't want to kiss Enrique in the Video instead of the other way round: "Did it look as if I didn't want to kiss him?" - first comment from Anna towards this and personally I don't want to start speculations what this MIGHT mean regarding the current "they are together"-Talks!

IW-Preview: In Indian Wells at the Pacific Life Open starting next week the following Top players won't play: Davenport, Mauresmo, S.Williams, V.Williams, Capriati! This means that Anna has a GREAT chance to gain many many points to improve her Ranking!

Interesting as well: I am not the only one who thinks that Anna looks a little bit better when having this BEAUTIFUL PONYTAIL!

Anna beats DIaz-Olivia - next up: Tatiana Garbin / Anna&Enrique-Stuff
Anna won her 1st match on Clay since June 1, 2000 (Round 2, Roland Garros, Loss vs Sylvia Plischke) against Marina Diaz-Olivia from Argentina! 6:4,7:5 the score but again a short Injury Scare as Anna called for medical Assistance on her right foot (at least not the surgery-affected left one) at 2-1 in the 1st set. BUT obviously it wasn't a serious injury because she won in 2 sets afterwards. Once again Anna played WITHOUT her beautiful ponytai. Perhaps she doesn't like it anymore, perhaps other reasons. Anna&Enrique-Stuff: The big media hype around Anna and Enrique and their likely close relationships (until I don't see Anna saying that it's true I won't believe it completely) has begun! This is a transcript of an today's Pro-Videotext-Entry (german TV Channel): "Anna und Enrique zeigen sich – Popstar Enrique Iglesias und Tennisschönheit Anna Kournikova haben nun kein Problem mehr damit dass die Welt von ihrer Liebe weiß.Offen zeigten sie jetzt an einem gemeinsamen Wochenende in Miami ihre Gefühle füreinander.Das Paar aß zunächst in einer Sushi-Bar bevor es sich schöne Stunden auf einem Boot gönnte.Die beiden sollen sehr verliebt ausgesehen haben.Die Russin und der Spanier sind seit wenigen Wochen zusammen."

I don't comment it for obvious reasons and I stated often enough what I think about Anna together with Enrique!

Anna plays her 1st Round-match vs Mariana Diaz-Olivia today on Centre Court. Here is the Center Court-Schedule for today:

It is really hard to predict but I think that the men also play "best of 3" and so I assume that the match Anna vs Diaz-Olivai will take place between 18:00-20:00 local (in the middle of the night in Europe)! Hopefully Anna has a good start on Clay this week! Full Tuesday-Schedule

I think that I stated often enough that I would be very disappointed if this romance would turn out to be true. BUT: I first believe it definitely when ANNA confirms that she's together with him!

In my opinion Anna has a good Draw, finally after 3 unfavourable Draws from Paris until Dubai! In the 2nd Round possibly vs Garbin, afterwards most likely Sanchez-Vicario in the Quarters and if she wins this she might take revenge on Smashnova! Anna can do well at this Tournament but you never know. She just has to take it one match at a time and give her best which will be enough against most of these players. Monday Schedule Anna will play tomorrow and if she advances to the Final this would mean 5 matches in 5 Days because obviously the Final is already on Saturday!

Rankings: Anna is slowly moving up the Rankings again - plus 3 Ranks this week in Singles, 1 down in Doubles to 15th (but she hasn't played Doubles since winning the Aussie Open on 25.1.02 with Martina)! Anna's Rankings in the "Race to the Championships": Singles 11th with 401 Points, Doubles 1st (also Martina) with 975 Points.
Very interesting and this really shows what Anna loves: Anna and Cristina Torrens-Valero are the only 2 players among the "Race to Championships"-Top100 who have already played 7 Tournaments in Singles this year!!!! She simply loves the game and this makes me happy!

Interview-Update: I found more comments from the post-match press conference of the Dubai-Match vs Venus which is now 5 days ago: "If you miss eight months I think it takes pretty much the same time to get back, hopefully not longer," said Kournikova. - Yes Anna, please not longer and please no new serious injury!

"The positive thing is that compared to the way I was playing at the end of last year I'm playing much better. My goal is to get back to where I was before my injury, and I have nothing (ranking points) to defend so that's a plus."

She added: "I'm really looking forward to this year and the opportunities I'm going to have, hopefully."

Unfortunately Anna doesn't sound SO confident as in former times - goddamed injury in 2001!!!

Anna at Acapulco / Dubai-Interview-Update
Anna WILL play at Acapulco. I was doubting this a little bit because she hasn't had one week off this year so far but it seems that she doesn't need this and just wants to play and play and play! The Draw will be released in a few hours and as soon as it's out you will find it here..

Dubai-Interview-Update: I found an additional piece of the post-match-Interview from the Venus-match in Dubai 4 days ago:"I am happy with my game, and I am just getting there. Give me some more time to get my top rankings back. I need to play more tournaments."
MORE TOURNAMENTS? - don't go for too much Anna. Give your body time to rest and don't risk to get injured again.

Acapulco-Draw to come / Flight news
The Draw for Acapulco will be out TOMORROW at 1:30 p.m. Acapulco-Time (for me as a German this will mean probably around 19:30/20:30 CET! Anna has a good chance to perform well on Clay - the Top Players at this TierIII-Tournament are Elena Dementieva (Tokyo02-Rematch?) and Amanda Coetzer! Anna can beat them BOTH as she recently showed!

Flight News: Another piece of info is that Anna left Dubia late Wednesday but obviously had to catch another flight at Gatwick (London?) Airport in te UK! It seems that there wasn't a direct flight from Dubai to Miami (or whatever her destination was)!

New Adidas-Commercial? / Chances to contact Anna / Hurry up
Well, reportedly the Star Magazine published a story which says that Anna is filming a new commercial for her main sponsor Adidas. Might be because she already left Dubai 2 days ago but WHERE should be the set of this commercial???

Chances to contact Anna: This is what "Carlopietroniro" stated (he knows Anna and is in contact with her):"the thousands and thousands of letters she receives at her agency are handled by the employees, and less than 0.0000001% EVER make it to her hands. Her civic address is NOT listed in any telephone directory. Her e-mail address isn't listed either, and even if someone were to find it, all her e-mail is filtered, meaning if you're not in her address book, your letters will automatically be deleted, never even making it to her inbox. There are less than 20 people whose e-mails make it to her, and she always replies (to her family and friends)"

I totally believe it. It is normal - how should Anna be able to live a normal life without this kind of "protection"???! I respect her privacy and don't understand anyone who doesn't!

Anna couldn't upset next week's No.1 Venus Williams
The result was a bit closer than one week ago in Antwerp but she lost again vs. Venus Williams in 2 sets - 2:6,6:7 the score! This means that Anna exists her 3rd consecutive Tournament in the 2nd Round - every time one loss and one win! Anna played again WITHOUT PONYTAIL and if she continues to do that (I would like to know WHY) I really have to get used to that! Pics from Venus-Match | Pics from Sfar-Match

WHAT NOW for Anna? Is she really going to play her 8th straight Tournament in Acapulco??? After the treatment in the Sfar-Match yesterday I doubt that she plays in Acapulco next week. There are also new Anna&Enrique-rumors: Apparently HE was on TRL today - perhaps he said sth towards the Relationship-rumors...I don't know. Just speculation: Is this new relationship the reason for Anna NOT to wear a Ponytail oncourt anymore??? Like I said: Only pure speculation and a little question I ask myself.

Hard win for Anna and INJURY SCARE
Anna managed to beat Sfar after 2h16min-match which also featured an INJURY SCARE in Annas injury prone left foot - in the end of the first set she FELL and got treatment. With a plastered foot she couldn't concentrate only on the match but on her body and so she fell behind in the Tiebreak 0-5 and the 1st set went to the Tunisian player. But she "never thought of giving up" - great fighting spirit. In the end both players were awarded with standing ovations and Anna advances to the second round. It is NO STRESS FRACTURE (thank god) but Anna, IF YOU FEEL PAIN IN YOUR FOOT TODAY - WITHDRAW IMMEDIATELY. Anna plays now against the new No.1 in the World, Venus Williams and with a sore foot - NO CHANCE AT ALL. Listen to your doctors and physiotherapeuts Anna, don't risk another monthly injury and another surgery!!!! No match is SO important to take that risk! 
PS: Did you notice it?? Anna played WITHOUT HER PONYTAIL for the FIRST TIME EVER. I have never seen her playing without her ponytail before - but nothing can minimize her awesome beauty!

Anna faces Venus again!! / Photoshooting / most beautiful pic ever / Anna&Enrique??? / new Download-section
Anna faces little known Selima Sfar (TUN) in the 1st Round of the Dubai Tournament which starts tomorrow. In the 2nd Round she will face...VENUS WILLIAMS...once again! Well, another unfavorable Draw for Anna, damn! But now Anna can proof what she said: "In the next few weeks I am looking to take my chances when I play them and try to win these matches" - she TRIES to win them. Anything can happen but I am sure Anna will give her best as usual! Both will play on Wednesday but first of all Anna has to beat Sfar who received a Wildcard. Full Draw

Photoshooting: Yesterday I said that Anna will have a photoshooting in Qatar this weekend (News from reliable source)! But it seems that this was wrong news - "both jettet in early Saturday" was the info on the official Tournament Website but I haven't found it! Anyway - we will find out if there was a Photoshooting or not!

Photoshooting in Qatar, TierII in Dubai
Anna will have a photoshooting THIS WEEKEND in Qatar (thanx for the Info Wolfgang). I don't know the exact location but Qatar isn't that big. Will it be the shooting for her 2003 Calendar, this "see Anna pose in paradise"-Thing??! I don't know but the "Win a trip"-Contest is still ongoing, so...! After this shooting (will take place in the desert) Anna will fly to Dubai (not far away, see map) to play her 7th Tournament in 2002!!!!! Just 5 more Singles matches and Anna has already played so many matches like in 2001 (20 in Singles)!!! 
I asked myself "How far is it from Qatar to Dubai?" - Well, have a look

Anna TOPLESS IN DESERT?????? / SUN-F*+# about Anna&Enrique
I really don't want to spread rumors but look at

THIS PIC

- IS THIS ANNA????
PRO Reasons: anna-fans.com-Statements that Photographers said that Anna was doing a photoshooting in Katar like "no one before" in the DESERT and soon Pictures will come up.
CONTRA Reasons: 
- If this was Anna "pose in paradise" for her 2003 Calendar why you can still subscribe to the "Win a trip to see Anna pose in Paradise"-Contest??? 
- WHEN should Anna have been there??? She plays one tournament after the other in 2002 and the last time I remember when Anna could have had the time to travel to Katar was before her last Exhibition in Detroit on December 15, 2001!!!
- Another TOPLESS-IN-DESERT-Pic has been posted and at the bottom left corner you can read "Daniela Pestova".

But this girl really looks like Anna and after she was kissing Enrique in ESCAPE I really think that revealing Shootings like this are possible. I really hope that this is NOT Anna but time will tell. If it is Anna then I am sure that Playboy isn't far away.

Sorry, this is just MY opinion. Perhaps I am totally wrong on this subject but I am just scared that anna-fans.com may have the right news and we could soon see Hi-Res-Pictures from TOPLESS-ANNA IN DESERT. Hopefully not. I want to see her on the court.

SUN-F*+# about Anna&Enrique: Well, they once said "Tennis Babe Anna weds" on their frontpage and now they claim that Anna and Enrique are a pair. When I hear these phrases - "onlooker",...!F*+#! Sun, tell me how many millions copies do you sell more when you have "Anna inside"?! This is just ridiculous to say that both have been seen YESTERDAY in a Restaurant in New York - HELLO, ANNA HAS BEEN IN ANTWERP!!!! She cannot split herself and be at two different places at the same time. But hey I know - you, SUN, aren't interested in true stories! Oh, the MIRROR as well

Antwerp is over for Anna / Fan-Report / BILD incredible
Anna is already out in Antwerp but against Venus Williams this wasn't nor a surprise neither really frustrating. Okay, the 0-6 in the 2nd set MUST have been frustrating for Anna! After the match Anna wasn't very disappointed at all:"I had a lot of chances tonight -- I didn't convert on my break points. She played well then and just played better on the crucial points...I am pretty happy with the way I am playing. It shows tonight that at least I was able to live with the number two in the world for a set." more from the Interview! I have some Picture-Links for you from yesterday's match:

Fan-Report: This was posted by "Polaris" on the official Messageboard about the Venus-match yesterday: "Anna played so good the first set, she had no problem with Venus' power. This resulted in some really long rallies, with superb winners from both sides. I would dare to say that Anna dictated the games a lot more then Venus the first set, Venus had to run from corner to corner.
Anna had two break points at 4-4 but she just misses her chances with balls going out inches (or centimeters as you wish)! At 5-5, Anna gets 3 breakpoints with some great winners and a netted ball from Venus. That's the point where it all turned upside down. Venus put a lot more risk in her shots. Anna got a chance for a smash but she just missed. Venus saves also the second breakpoint. Anna had only one breakpoint left but you could see it on Anna's face that she would do everything to take the point. It was an unbelievable point, Venus was so lucky, she hit the lines three times in a row. Anna went for the winner but it just went out. Venus took also the next two points, so it was 6-5 in favour of her. Anna had to serve to stay in the set but she got to nervous and she hesitated to much: result 5-7. The next set was only a formality, I knew it from the start that it was all over already. Anna tried but the concentration was gone and Venus didn't need to play that risky anymore, it was Anna who made the errors."


BILD incredible: Today on bild.de you could read on the frontpage "SEX-SCENES IN THE WOMEN'S TOILET" - what the hell is going on???? Ofcourse they show the specific pictures from the bathtube-kissing in a popup and are also talking from an "anna-addicted" Enrique. Shit Yellow Press!

According to recent confirmation from Anna she will be already on her way to Dubai for her 7th (!!!!!) straight Tournament this year already (incredible)! To be honest: I wouldn't be surprised if Anna decides to take 1 week off, fly home to Miami (Valentine's Day today!!!!) and from there starts to Acapulco for the TierIII - Tournament (Feb 25 - Mar 03). But afterall Anna knows what she wants if she decides to keep on playing week after week that's fine for me as long as she doesn't risk an injury! Always remember your terrible injury last year, Anna!

Anna OUT in Antwerp / Anna&Enrique-Report
OH NO! Anna lost vs Venus 5-7,0-6 but especially after this tight 1st set (2-2,2-3,3-3,3-4,4-4,4-5,5-5,5-6,5-7) it is really more than disappointing that Anna couldn't win one Single match in the 2nd set. Don't be too sad Anna - Venus is probably the best tennisplayer in the world right now. But of course she will be disappointed. Pictures and more to come..

Anna beats Weingärtner / I'm not there :-(( / Enrique about Anna
Anna beats Marlene Weingärtner in straight sets 6:2,6:1! After losing her serve in the opening and the 3rd game of 1st set (0:1, 1:2) it was ALL Anna who was in control of the match! She won the first set 6:2 and was already up 3:0 in the second before Marlene could win her last game - great win for Anna in less than an hour!!! But now Venus Williams is Annas next opponent - nothing is impossible but beating Venus Williams would be more than a surprise. GO ANNA, beat Venus for the 1st time in your career!

I'm not there: It wasn't an easy decision for me but in the end I made the most wise decision:NOT to Antwerp. Reasons: I have to work tomorrow and with a trip to Antwerp today I would have to drive a distance of approx. 1000km!! Plus: Ron told me that tickets are still available for today but would I still get one if I am there just at 17/18:00 CET???! Many unclear things plus the crossing of 2 country borders as well, perhaps traffic jams around Cologne etc.! So I decided NOT to drive but it is really hard for me to miss ANNA LIVE today - but it was most likely the "best" decision. I am looking forward to see Anna live in Berlin in about 3 months. 

Enrique about Anna: In the NEWS OF THE WORLD Enrique talked about his Sex life (who cares???) and his filming with Anna! Anna plays tomorrow / Video / Ranking
Anna plays her 1st Round match in Antwerp tomorrow, as soon as I find the schedule I will let you know.
Perhaps I will drive to Antwerp tomorrow   it is less than 500 Kilometres away. I still don't know!

Anna withdrew??? - No / Feedback & Pics
Rumors occured that Anna has withdrew from Antwerp as well as Doha due to EXHAUSTION ?!?!?! Well, if you take a look at the official Antwerp-Website you will see that Anna is still in the Draw so I assume that she WILL be playing there. Anyway - Anna, if you feel tired then PLEASE take a week or two off before getting injured again...!

Anna faces German in 1st Rd at Antwerp / Secret Fotoshooting / saw ESCAPE
The Draw for the Proximus Diamond Games is out and Anna, once again, didn't get a favourable one - she faces German Marlene Weingärtner in the 1st Round and in the 2nd Round VENUS WILLIAMS is waiting for her...! Well, when you see this you really start thinking: "Why doesn't she play Doha instead?"!!! It was Anna's decision and of course there's even a chance against Venus (unfortunately a very small chance)! Full Draw

ANNA PLAYS ANTWERP, NOT DOHA / Annas new Journal-Entry / Buses... / News
Anna will play the PROXIMUS DIAMOND GAMES in Antwerp (Belgium) next week and WON'T PLAY AT DOHA! I don't know why these news occured that she will be playing Doha but it was as much likely (because it is closer to Dubai) as now the Tournament in Antwerp is as well (more closer to Paris)! Anyway, look here to see that she really confirmed to play there. More Infos to come!

Annas new Journal-Entry:Well let's say that there were times where I was more happy with what Anna writes into her online-Journal at kournikova.com! In her latest Journal-Entry she says that she is really happy with her 2nd Doubles Triumph at a Grand Slam ("I was so happy") but then she talks again about her ESCAPE-Video-Apperance and you can see that this really seems as much important for her as her Doubles Victory - "I had a fantastic time", "really excited that it's doing so well", "I'd love to see it go to #1"! Anna out of Paris / more Paris 02 - Pictures / News
Anna lost her 2nd round match vs Amelie Mauresmo yesterday - although she was leading in the 2nd set 5-2!!! It seems that this wasn't Anna's tournament but she says that she is still on her way back and things are generally getting better (right: Aussie Open-Doubles Title and Tokyo-Semifinal). Now she is on her way to North Africa - Doha in Qatar is her destination where she will be playing in the Qatar Total Finaelf Open Tournament (Tier III). Anna lost vs Mauresmo / Paris 02 - Pics / Sorry
Anna lost vs Mauresmo 3:6,5:7 - oh Anna! Unfortunately Anna didn't succeed in taking revenge for her last year's defeat her in Paris from Mauresmo (3 set-loss in the quarterfinal)! Now Anna will fly to Doha to play in the Quatar Total Finaelf Open starting next monday. After all (Anna didn't play Doubles in Tokyo and Paris and most likely she won't in Doha and Dubai as well) - she gets match practise with all these tournaments and that can only be good (as long as she feels 100% fit)!

Think what you want but I will keep on supporting for Anna - her time will come. Hopefully she stays healthy and if there is justice out there then Anna will win many many Singles Titles some day. Maybe not tomorrow but she also believes in herself and so I do!

Anna beats Gagliardi - Mauresmo on Feb 6 / Anna thrown out of Sports University???
Anna beats Emanuelle Gagliardi 6:7,6:4,6:4 and it must have been a tough match for Anna but it was her first match on this surface and she has to get used to it like any other player. Unfortunately Anna has to play again tomorrow, she has no day off. AND: Now the really big match vs Amelie Mauresmo (for sure the crowd favorite in Paris) at 4:30 pm (local time in Paris)! Anna has a good chance to beat her for sure and it might also be an advantage that she has played one match in Paris already - she knows the surface etc.!

Anna thrown out of Sports University??: In the RTL "punkt12" news magazine at noon I saw a report that Anna reportedly is thrown out of the Sports University in Moscow (don't know the specific name it is called) because her FATHER SERGEJ reportedly was caught writing exams that should be written by her daughter Anna. 

This is really unexpected news, perhaps everything is just a stupid rumor. We'll have to wait. Anna rarely talks or even gets asked questions about educational stuff like this! With her busy schedule she has not so much time to write exams but don't get me wrong - I don't think that Anna would ask her father to write her exams! Another news source is bild.de which published this report today - it seems that a certain woman spoke to the press about "Anna at the University"!

The Paris Indoors-Draw is out and Anna faces Emanuelle Gagliardi in the 1st Round - their last meeting was just a few weeks ago in Auckland - Quarterfinal - Anna won but it was a close match: 2-6,6-4,7-5! But Anna plays much better right like her previous results in Tokyo show! The match will take place tomorrow - see the Schedule:

Travelling from one continent to the next each week??? I hope you know what you are doing! You will climb up the Ranking anyway - don't risk getting injured again. PLEASE!!!!!

Ranking: Anna is already on her way to climb up the Rankings again - 11 Ranking positions up this week!! In Doubles Anna lost 6 Ranks and is now the 16th because Martina withdrew from the Doubles in Tokyo and Anna did reach the Final in 2001 there together with Iroda Tulyaganova!

Anna plays Paris Indoors / Anna mentioned at... / Feedback
The Draw for Paris Indoors will be made tomorrow at noon (CET)! Check out the official website for more details. Match play starts at Tuesday February 5th and unlike last year Anna has to play the first round due to her low Ranking. BUT: By reaching the Semis in Tokyo Anna has secured enough Ranking points to remain at 99 and THIS WEEK in Paris she already can gain points to improve her Ranking. She has no more Points to defend. Great!

Although it is a TierII-Tournament this draw looks much more tough than the TierI-Draw in Tokyo...! Anna will NOT face the top 4-seeds in the 1st Round (they have Bye's)! So she might face Torrens-Valero or Kremer like this week in Tokyo once again but it also possible for her to face Hantuchova for example. We have to wait!

Anna mentioned at...NHL allstar game last night - "During intermission they had a 'man on the street' thing where Barry Melrose and John Davidson asked people in LA if they knew what certain hockey related topics were? Typical crap. Afterwards, Bill Clement said that even though they didn't know that stuff they knew that Sergei Fedorov was going out with Anna Kournikova.

At that point, Amanda's favorite hockey play by play man, Gary Thorne, said that they were married. Clement said "really?". Thorne replied with "They haven't announced anything but they ARE married!". He said that it's advantageous for Anna's career for her to not to be married." (posted by Steam at official messageboard)

Well, what can I say to this? If Anna is married or not - time will tell (I hope not but in the end - what a difference would it make at all???)!

Anna lost vs Seles / PARIS / Win Anna-Meeting / special gift...
Well - unfortunately Anna lost vs Seles in 3 sets but hey, 3 sets and Anna is still on her way to coming back to great old shape. So with her Semifinal-Appearance we all should be quite happy - finally Tokyo is nothing less than a TIER I-Tournament (one Level lower than a Grand Slam Tournament)! Anna had a great chance to WIN - she was already up 2:0 in the 3rd set but unfortunately Anna lost serve - 3:3 and well,things went wrong.

Eurosport has shown 52 minutes of Anna-Seles and a miracle happened: The commentator suddenly claimed to be a "big fan of Anna Kournikova"! Well, why did he hurt Anna verbally in the past???! Anyway: Anna played really good but she still has to minimize her unforced errors! In the 3rd set at 3:3 and 40:40 Anna was so close to break Monica but as this didn't happen the match was decided - Anna lost her serve and Monica served it out unfortunately! Despite this loss a very very good performance of Anna, I am proud of you!

PARIS: It is now for sure that Anna really will play Paris Indoors (Open Gaz de France) as well. Tough schedule for Anna (Auckland, Sydney, Aussie Open, Tokyo, Paris, 1 week rest, Dubai, Acapulco, Indian Wells,...) and I hope that she doesn't put to much pressure on her body. Anna, like I said yesterday: If you feel fine then play but if you only feel the slightest signs of fatigue/soreness then better take one additionally week off! But Anna is well aware of all that so she knows what she does and how much her body can take for sure.

Anna faces Seles in SF / Paris-WC / Eurosport-F##K
Well done Anna - in straight sets she ousted Anne Kremer 6:4,6:2 to book a place in the Semis of the TIER I-Tournament in Tokyo! Great Anna! She has now repeated her success from last year and from the Rankings Point of view Anna has now NO MORE POINTS TO DEFEAT - her Rankings cannot slide below 99 even if she doesn't play Paris Indoors next week (most likely because she confirmed for the Dubai-Event). Congratulations Anna, I hope the media will finally recognise that you are more than just a "pretty face". 
Anna's opponent in the Semifinal is veteran Monica Seles who beat Alexandra Stevenson in tough two sets 7:6,7:6 (like Anna did against Elena yesterday). My prediction: It will be a very interesting match and Anna has all the chances to advance to the Final.

Anna lost their last match at a WTA Tournament but this is 1 1/2 years ago. At this time Anna has just beaten Davenport and Tauziat in a row so she had much more difficult matches before she met Seles than this time (Torrens-Valero,Dementieva - both in straight sets)

Paris-WC: I read news that Anna received the 1st of 3 Wildcards for the upcoming Open Gaz de France-Tournament in Paris (start: February 5). Will Anna really start there although she confirmed to play Dubai??! This would mean that she would take just 1 week rest after playing 6 (!) consecutive weeks and this after such a serious injury with surgery! Anna, take care of your body. If you feel 100% fit, fine, do it but if not - better take one additionally week of rest before risking another serious injury (remember: after Paris Indoors last year the nightmare-injury began)! 

Eurosport-F##K: For all Europeans - today from 18h15-19h15 showed Tokyo-Tennis but instead of showing at least a little bit of Anna-Kremer they "chose to show Hingis - Tanasugarn". Many Thanx to "Europe's leading Sports Channel"...!DAMN!
